Most curious indeed. You know the phrase; One person's heaven is another's Hell.

My Seven Wonders of Chicago...
The folks over at
Gapers Block have an open forum for folks to chime in on what they think the Wonders of Chicago are in response to a Chicago Tribune poll currently going on.
I probably took a different approach by listing Chicago-centric institutions so to speak...
So here goes:
- The defunct petting zoo at Indian Boundary Park
- The fact that there's a statue of Grant in Lincoln Park, and a statue of Lincoln in Grant park.
- The numbering system for Harold's Chicken Shacks
- The "Dibs" system of parking spot saving
- The Empire Carpet Guy
- The proliferation of the brown "Honorary" street signs (leaves you wondering exactly what street you're on)
- The myriad pronounciations of the street named Goethe
Is there anything that I overlooked?
