A Diamond is forever; how about subsistence?
Interesting photo essay on the path a diamond takes from the mines of Angola and Sierra Leone and people that are working for the food that keeps them alive to being the bauble on the hand of a Society maven. I've never been too keen on the whole "Diamonds are forever" business (unless it's the James Bond movie) and this just reinforces my whole belief that the diamond=love marketing campaign is incredibly toxic.Labels: Causes
